Some of you know our dog Daisy got pregnant when my brother let her out some night and had some puppies. Well, we found good homes for them all except little Johnny here.
He needs a home really bad! I have had so many people back out!
"My dog’s would just maul him up anyways."
"That’s not the kind of dog we’re looking for."
"Eh I don’t really like black dogs."
"I don’t want to potty train it."
"He looks like a Pomeranian, yes, but I want an actual Pomeranian."
"He’s kind of odd looking."
This is getting me so disheartened.
Johnny is a Chiweenie X Pug. He looks kind of weird, I know, but don’t let this deter you. This is a great puppy! I am not even that much of a dog person (I’m a cat and ferret person) but this little boy is amazing! He’s quiet 95% of the time unless you hurt his little feelings (like setting him down from your lap when he wasn’t done with lovins). He loves to sleep on sock piles for hours. He doesn’t really chew anything, but he DOES like to eat paper so watch him carefully. I pull paper from his mug every once in a while. He doesn’t bother me when I am eating unless I am eating sardines, he goes CRAZY.
He also “Marches”. When he’s in full stride, he walks stiff legged with forelegs carried high. This is not a leg issue, he can bend his knees, but he just runs like this when his speed picks up. If he runs full blast, he puts little hops into it.
His tail curls up and lays on the side of his bum most of the time.
He will have longish hair, not super long that it requires daily grooming, but he will always have a “poofie” appearance. While part pug, he does have a growing snout. So no Bracycephalia and I have kept a good eye on his teeth. They are growing in straight and nice. He breaths fine and can sleep laying down on his side without pug gurgles (I was worried when he was born about his pug aspects but it seems he is more Chihuahua than pug.) He does have a curly tail and he does have a stout body like his daddy. He has the makings of a long Chi snout and may have longer legs than the average pug because his mother is slender legged. He is a deep black with a white chin and a white star patch on his throat.
He may grow to be pointy eared, because as time goes by, his ears stand a bit higher. He also has “Butterfly ears”, big tufties behind them.
Some things about Johnny’s personality: He is not food aggressive. He’ll eat out of your hand. He loves to be held and carried but prefers to lay at your feet or snuggle under your armpit. He sleeps a lot but he is quite active if you want him to be. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and doesn’t bother cats but he does not like to be roughly played with. He also follows you around, so if this is a problem, don’t get him. He is a people dog, but a family dog. He loves kids and adults and may also need a doggy playmate but that is not absolutely required because humans can be his sole playmate.
Yes, he needs better potty training, but he’s only 8 weeks old. He sometimes hits his pad, sometimes doesn’t. So many people have dropped interest in him for this because I am honest and tell the truth, yes he will pootie on your ivory coloured tiles if you’re not diligent in taking him out to poop or pee. A puppy doesn’t come magically potty trained… I hate when people think they do.
He looks like a Pomeranian in stature despite he is not an actual Pomeranian. I had someone so ready to take him until I admitted he is a “Chug” and they had nothing to do with him anymore.
I have ran so many adds for him only to have so many people back out on this great puppy. Yes he looks odd, yes he is a mutt, yes you will have to take him out to poop and pee to prevent messes until he learns, and yes, he is a colour you may not like but he is a great puppy. I am so desperate to find him a home, but a GOOD home! A home where he can be loved.
Why?
Because my only other option is the shelter. My brother in law is the garbage man and picks up their usual euthanasia load and it’s huge, adults and puppies alike, and Johnny might not have a chance… My shelter is always full and always euthanizing. I could never forgive myself. I cannot keep Johnny because we have 6 dogs already and they get kinda rough with him as it is. He is a gentle puppy, not a rough houser and sometimes he gets scared and hurt by my sister’s big dogs. I also have 3 ferrets and 3 cats and I don’t have the room or time anymore for Johnny to really grow up as the center of attention. It makes me feel awful but I am so determined to find him a home where he can be the family dog. He is social with other pets and not aggressive. I have spent a lot of time socializing him and handling him each night and day. He doesn’t nip anymore. He also knows his name is Johnny but you can rename him whatever you like.
I am in the East TN area, near Rockwood Tennessee. I can travel for him. We can meet halfway.  Message me on facebook if you want this little guy. Johnny is a ball of love and affection and I don’t want him to die! Also, he is FREE. I care about his getting a home and family than any money. Just promise me you will cherish him and make him your best friend. Please… I never meant to have an accidental litter and I have been extremely diligent in getting them all homes and Johnny is the last. He doesn’t deserve a bad life because someone let my dog out one night to get pregnant. Signal boost this because I’m certain some one has followers in my area that will want a new friend.

Message me here and I will give you my cell number and we can arrange a date to give you little Johnny.
